Our beloved EastEnders star, Kellie Bright, dropped a very positive update for her fans. If you follow her BTS, you must remember when she got real about her son’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) back in November, 2023. The actress struggled to get an Educational Health Care (EHC) assessment. She’s finally got some good news to share!
EastEnders: Kellie Pledges To Support!
The actress, who plays Linda Carter on EastEnders, struggled with the appeal process before an assessment was finally agreed. However, Kellie took to Instagram and shared a video giving fans and fellow parents a much more positive update.
Kellie began, “I have been meaning to post a little update about our SEN/ECHP journey on here for a while.” Then she announced that her son officially had his Educational Health Care plan as of February 6, 2024. The actress seemed extremely delighted to share her joy.
Bright continued, “The process once the assessment actually started happening was fairly swift.” And that she felt like everyone was suddenly on their side. EastEnders legend expressed, “I suddenly realised that everyone in there was on the side of my son, and that was huge.” It was a massive relief for Kellie.
In addition, she admitted that the struggle was real for many families fighting for their kids’ rights. The Linda actress said, “I feel incredibly lucky that we have it, which isn’t right. And that she shouldn’t feel lucky but couldn’t help it. “I know it isn’t a golden ticket, but it helps, it really helps,” EastEnders Fame clarified.
Kellie also pledged to crank up the volume on this serious matter. She also promised to make sure all those parents out there knew they were not alone. She declared, “I’m there, I’m listening, I hear you, I see you, I’m one of you, and I’m with you.”
