Emmerdale: Emma Atkins Reveals Charity’s Future Scenes
Emmerdale actress Emma Atkins, who is popularly known for her portrayal of Charity Dingle, recently explained the future of her character. Viewers know that Charity Dingle has been dealing with the aftermath of accidentally killing Damon ‘Harry’ Harris.
In the past episodes, she finally took her husband Mackenzie Boyd’s advice and consulted a professional. However, Emma revealed that in the coming times, a visit to Harry’s grave will turn things around- definitely not for the good. The Emmerdale actress shared, “She feels haunted by Harry, so she decides to visit his grave to see if she can get any forgiveness of some kind.”
According to the soap star, Charity goes to the grave to look for answers. In an intense scene in Emmerdale, she burst into tears while telling him it was an accident. The actress added, “Charity tells him to stop tormenting her as it’s torture, and every which way she turns, she doesn’t find the solution.”
Emma explained that her character has entered a very disturbing territory for her own mental health. She expressed her charcater is unable to function as a mother or partner. It’s her PTSD that takes her back to the terrifying moment of Harry’s death in Emmerdale. Atkins quotes, “Charity is in constant high alert mode, and it’s making her ill.”
The soap actress confirmed that even Charity’s well-wishers have started sensing that something is terribly wrong with her. Nevertheless, her condition is not getting any better in the coming week either. To add to it, she even starts getting nightmares of Harry. Emma asserted that in the coming week of Emmerdale, Charity’s fits even result in severely injuring Mack.
Atkins said, “Charity thinks she can go to work, but Chas sees that she’s not good, so sends her home.” As per the actress, Charity begins to realise that her life is never going to be the same.
