It looks like Sonny Corinthos will finally get a new Jason in the upcoming days. General Hospital is all set to welcome a new character and actor. If the speculation is to be believed, this new character could be Sonny’s new right-hand man. The latest issue of Soap Opera Digest confirms that actor Evan Hofer is all set to join the cast of General Hospital. He will play a new character Dex. As for who Dex is, the spoilers suggest that Dex is a man who will come looking for a job with Sonny. He will make his first appearance in the week of May 2, 2022.
From all the information we have right now, we don’t really know what kind of job he is looking for. But the speculation is that Dex will join Sonny’s mob business and might fill in the place Jason’s demise left vacant. GH viewers cannot forget that Jason got caught in a collapsing tunnel at the Cassadine Island, and that led to his end.
Ever since Jason passed away, Sonny has been lacking some muscle and also someone he can trust. Given how General Hospital has been moving the storyline forward, we assumed that Brando would be the new Jason. However, it doesn’t look like that is happening. Hofer’s Dex could very easily be the character that fills in the place.
This is Evan Hofer’s first gig in the Daytime. However, he has been a part of many other productions, including TV series, movies, and short films. These include Dwight in Shining Armor, Lethal Weapon, The Thundermans, Room 566, and many more.
