2023 was a year of many things on General Hospital. But among them all, the most talked about thing was the many times Molly was recast. It took the soap as well as the fandom a real stretch to finally settle down on one actress that finally fit the shoe. While Molly’s matter now stands settled, we can’t help but think about some recasts that actually need to happen now. That is, if the OG portrayers really do not wish to return. Because, it is high time that the characters must now be back- with or without the OG portrayers.
We are indeed talking about comatose Lulu, and vanished into thin air – Lucky! His conspicuous absence from Bobbie’s memorial on General Hospital made absolutely no sense at all. In fact, his absence in general makes no sense at all. Why would he not drop by to check in on his son – Aiden? There is just no plausible explanation for that. Especially, when the character is alive on the soap. Sure, a lot of times characters remain off-screen because their original portrayers are not part of the cast anymore, and may choose not to return.
But that’s where the golden boon from Soap Gods called recast comes into play! And we think it is about time General Hospital taps into it for Lulu and Lucky. Laura Collins certainly be happy to have her children back! Besides, we think the timing would be perfect, if they do it now! GH as a soap focuses heavily on complicated romances. And currently, Liz- Finn , Sam -Dante’s relationships are going rather smoothly! Isn’t that in itself a call for trouble? We’d say yes!
Imagine if Lulu woke up from her coma, Dante would suddenly start struggling with feeling torn between her and Sam on General Hospital. After all, it is pretty clear that a part of his heart still beats for Lulu! As for Liz and Finn, well the GH fandom just can’t get behind this pairing. They are really are destined for doom! So, if Nik is not going to rock that boat, then we hope Luke’s return does. Because, quite honestly, Liz-Finn’s chemistry pales quite miserably in front of Liz and Lucky’s!
