Esme has created such terror in General Hospital in the previous years that seeing her crumble in Nikolas’s captivity seems like fair play. However, the fact that she is pregnant and scared for her baby does seem to touch a soft spot. And it looks like Esme is about to make full use of it to connect with the mother inside Liz. Spoilers indicate that when Liz tries to help take care of Esme’s pregnancy needs, she will try to win Liz’s sympathy and beg for her help in escaping. Liz is already combating guilt of having a hand in Reiko’s death. Will Liz give in to Esme’s request in hopes of redeeming herself? Are we about to see Liz help Esme escape in General Hospital?
Esme Attempts To Win Liz’s Sympathy
Esme is at her wit’s ends by now, trapped in the north tower of Nikolas’s castle. She is fighting nail and toe to get out of her captivity, but she has had no such luck so far. However, she sees a glimmer of hope when Liz enters the equation to help her through her pregnancy on General Hospital. In an attempt to win Liz on her side, Esme puts all her sympathy cards on the table. Considering that the teen villain is pregnant, she hopes that Liz will be able to see her despair. After all, Liz herself is a mother of three. So Esme hopes to connect to her woman to woman.
Liz, on General Hospital, is a nurse. She knows exactly how to care for a pregnant woman, and understands all the complexities and requirements that come with it. When Liz signed up for this, that is all she was interested in. Helping Esme go through a safe pregnancy. She is providing her with all the prenatal vitamins, supplements and care that is needed at the moment. But will she also realise that Esme can’t deliver a baby in captivity? Will Esme be able to melt Liz into helping her escape, for the sake of the baby perhaps? Keep reading to find out.
Liz Sees Helping Esme On General Hospital As Redemption?
We know Liz has her own fair share of demons she is fighting at the moment. She hit a downward spiral after losing Abigail, that led her straight back to her past. A past that was riddled with unfathomable truths on General Hospital. Liz found at that she had a major part in the death of Reiko, Finn’s first wife. It was a teenage Liz, who pushed Reiko down the stairs that caused the ripple effect, ultimately leading to her death. Liz is not an evil woman, not by a long shot! Hence, a revelation like that has her ridden with guilt. While, she can’t really do anything to change her past, maybe she can make amends now? Or so she may think!
When Esme calls out to her from a place of hurt and fear for her baby’s life, Liz may feel forced to listen. She can’t save Reiko now, but she can save Esme and the baby. Maybe, Liz will look at it at a chance for redemption. Her chance to save two lives to somehow make amends for the life that was lost because of her. However, as shattered as Esme may seem right now, she is still a literal spawn of satan! And, if she is released, she may unleash hellfire in Port Charles, a fire that will surely engulf Nik.
