It was a joyous moment for long-time General Hospital viewers when news broke out that actress Emma Samms would be returning to GH as Holly Sutton. Previously, Holly was presumed dead when she went missing from Port Charles and never returned. However, two years later, Holly returned. It was revealed that she was held captive all this while and had finally managed to get away. Upon return, Holly had a very off behavior. Later, she confessed to Robert Scorpio that Victor was blackmailing her by keeping Ethan hostage. However, it seems Holly in a bid to escape Victor’s clutches, has fled Port Charles and won’t be returning anytime soon! Read exit storyline below!
The Beginning Of Holly’s End
Moreover, Holly confessed to all the dark and dirty deeds that the evil Cassadine put her up to on General Hospital. She recounted to him how she put on an Anna mask and shot Lucy point blank. Then framed Anna for the murder. However, she did drop a hint that Lucy wasn’t really dead, and she only knocked her unconscious. Things took a more dangerous turn when Victor ordered Holly to steal a necklace that was in Robert’s custody. Thus, pitting Holly right against the love of his life.
Knowing her son Ethan’s life is in grave danger, Holly sees no other option but to steal the necklace from General Hospital. She swipes the necklace from Robert and hides in a secluded cabin, waiting for the right time to escape. However, she gets jammed up when Robert, along with other PCPD, land right outside the cabin. They persuade her to surrender. But how could she surrender, Victor has Ethan! Seeing no other option, Holly does the unthinkable! She sets the whole cabin on fire! Holly Skips Port Charles, Steps Out Of General Hospital
Just as the cabin goes up in flames, in a horrifying turn of events, it seems like it’s the end of Holly. However, that’s as far fro the truth as possible! Thanks to some fireproof garments provided to her by Robert and Felecia, Holly escapes the flaming cabin unharmed. It was all a ploy by her, Robert and Felecia to get Holly free from Victor. Later, Holly bids an emotional goodbye to Robert and leaves the town of Port Charles, thus giving her a clean exit from General Hospital.
However, we believe, this is the end of Holly’s story only for the time being. There are some loose ends left that need to be tied up later. For instance, we would love to watch her rescue Ethan from Victor. A mother-son reunion in Port Charles would be nice! Speaking of reunions, don’t you think Robert and Holly deserve an actual chance together now? We really hope Holly returns for that.
