There has never been a bigger and a better villain in General Hospital than the mighty Victor Cassadine. There is hardly any evil he hasn’t committed and there is barely anything he wouldn’t do to serve his purpose. The man is so vile that he hasn’t even spared his own son Valentin and granddaughter Charlotte. In fact the whole of Cassadine family keeps getting caught in his crosshairs, let alone the gen pop of Port Carles. One of his latest scapegoats on the ABC soap is Holly Sutton. What he did with her was rotten. Actor Charles Shaughnessy himself agrees that Victor is “irredeemable”.
When Charles started to portray the role of wretched Victor on General Hospital, he knew he was ” bad to the bone”. However, he told Soap Opera Digest that what Victor has done with Holly is just horrible. Victor is just “dreadful”, Charles admits. But he also adds that it’s such great fun to be portraying him. He is that character that everybody loves to hate. (Well, we have to agree. No one does sinister better than Victor, and GH won’t be the same without the evil Cassadine patriarch.)
