Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and has been going through preventative chemotherapy since. Royal family fans last saw the Princess on the family’s annual Christmas walk on December 25 last year.
After a few weeks, an announcement of her going through an abdominal surgery came out, which was actually cancerous. Since then, Kate has taken her time off from the royal duties. Here is all we know about her potential return: READ!
When Will Kate Middleton Return To Royal Duties?
The Princess of Wales made one public statement about her return to royal duties when she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. Kate said that she needs time, space, and privacy to complete her treatment. “My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able—but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery,” she added.
Since then, Kate Middleton has not been seen in any public events. As for husband William, he has been of great comfort to his wife and also attending royal duties.
In a statement given to People, Buckingham Palace mentioned that the Princess would return to official duties when her medical team cleared her. They also said her husband, Prince William, “will continue to balance supporting his wife and family and maintaining his official duties as he has done since the start of the year.”
Prince William Shared Updates On Wife’s Health
During an appearance in mid-May, Prince William told reporters that Kate is doing well. After that, People also reported that the Princess was seen running errands and was seen out and about with her family. A friend spoke to Vanity Fair and said that Kate has been doing a lot better. She added that Princess is responding well to the medication too.
Even though the mother of three seems to be recovering, a firm date for her return has not been revealed. However, she will not be attending the dress rehearsal for Trooping the Colour on June 8. We think Kate will not make a return until the medical team gives her the all-clear signal.
Royal family fans know that Kate Middleton is not the only one who will be out of the spotlight for some time. Prince William and Charles have also cancelled engagements.
