King Charles and Prince William are discussing stripping Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal titles. Ever since the couple moved to Montecito, they have been a part of several events related to the royal family.
This has definitely raised eyebrows and caused tensions between the family. During their three-day trip to Nigeria, the couple was delighted to be seated in chairs with royal titles as ‘Duke’ and ‘Duchess.’
Furthermore, the royal author, Tom Quinn spoke to The Mirror and said that King Charles and Prince William have had lengthy discussions about this issue. However, they are terrified this would backfire and make the situation worse. He added, ‘The last thing they want is to give the renegade royals something to complain about.
William and King Charles know that even without their royal titles, Meghan and Harry would carry on travelling as royals.’ The couple stepped back from their official roles but retained their Sussexes titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Although, the couple no longer use the ‘His/Her Royal Highness’ styling. As for Prince Harry, he also gave up his military titles.
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess reassured their royal connection by relaunching their website. It is under the domain name Sussex.com, and the homepage displays a photograph of the couple. Moreover, the caption says: ‘The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex.’
The website contains brief information about them and their work with updates on recent activities like the trip to Nigeria. It seems like the couple is not ready to separate themselves from King Charles, and Meghan made sure of that during the Nigeria trip.

Royal family fans know it has been over four years since Meghan and Harry left the royal palace. However, the couple still showed signs of being royalty on their recent trip to Nigeria. While on their trip, Meghan has spent approximately £120,000 on new outfits and jewels. This has obviously raised questions in the royal world. For starters, Meghan started her trip with a £450 peach-coloured maxi, vintage gold earrings, a £ 1453 necklace, and £50,000 Lorraine Schwartz ring. The Suits alum completed the outfit with a £4391 diamond hex bracelet and £20,000 golden Tank Francaise watch.
All this made the expert Jennie Bond question the Duchess’ need to wear such expensive clothes during the visit. While speaking to Times Radio, Bond said that Meghan must be doing what was expected of her.
She added that Meghan still feels royal even though she isn’t one of them anymore. The expert also mentioned that she has a problem with Meghan and the whole royal family for wearing such expensive things in a place like Nigeria. All of this makes us think that maybe Meghan and Harry like to have the titles without actual responsibility.
