The Meet The Putmans’ family faced a great adversity last year. Their happy family dynamics were shattered after a fatal car crash. The family has since then gotten less socially active. On occasion, they shared updates on the recovery of family members who were hospitalized. Although the family is still recovering from the tragedy, the trauma burns bright in their memory. For the past few months, they have gone radio silent, grieving and recovering.

As the fandom might remember, Gia’s doctor performed a craniotomy on her, and later reported that her brain pressure was decreasing. However, since then, Gia has made steady improvements in her recovery. The doctors just released her after 4 long months in the hospital. The Putmans had put off celebrating Christmas until Gia returned home.

“Because this year reminded us that Christmas isn’t confined to a date on the calendar,” the recent post on their page read. The post further expressed gratitude for Gia’s safe return and also the longing and sadness for the family members who lost their lives. “We trust this season is pointing us toward the promise that we will one day be reunited,” the post stated.
