Cillian Murphy is one last time back as Thomas “Tommy” Shelby in the recent behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets of Peaky Blinders Season 6. Well, the current photos teased Cillian gearing up to film the sixth season with some new faces. The last season wrapped up in September 2019 and left everyone on the edge of their seats. It begins with the infamous Black Tuesday, took place in December 1929, and ended with a grisly surprise.
Peaky Blinders has been praised for its unique writing and cinematography since it aired in 2013. The famous crime drama focused on Tommy Shelby’s exploits after the First World War. Tommy runs a criminal gang called Peaky Blinders in the lawless streets of Birmingham. The series focused on Tommy’s evolution from a crime lord to a legal businessman and parliament member.

Recently, Peaky Blinders official Twitter account shared some intense and stunning pictures of Cillian Murphy. In the photo, Murphy stands in front of the mirror in the wardrobe area, fully dressed in Tommy Shelby’s costume. Both the pictures are clicked by the director Anthony Byrne. Though these pictures don’t provide any details about the sixth season, it’s still thrilling to see Murphy in Tommy’s costume again.
At this point, it’s been more than a year since the fifth season ended. So these new snaps are worth hiking the excitement level. Even the sixth season is Peaky Blinders’ final season, so these pictures add more hope to what to expect from the following season.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Filming Status!
Finally, after a long wait, filming for the sixth season began on January 18. Well, the current crisis had affected the plans to start filming back in 2020. But now it’s pretty delighting to know that filming has safely begun. A couple of weeks ago, Paul Anderson in Arthur Shelby’s costume spotted filming. Although his edgy look hint that something isn’t right with him in the sixth season. Yet, it doesn’t feel like the Shelby family journey would end here.
As we saw Tommy marching in Arthur’s direction, it hints that something more dramatic would happen in the final season. Sadly, in January 2021, the creator Steven Knight confirmed that they are on the final run. Though it felt awful to hear, Steven soon came up with the soothing news. Steven said that he’s already mapping a feature film to wrap up the story. Now that we knew it’s not the end so let’s enjoy some glimpse of the filming.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Cast: New Members To Join The Team
It seems Peaky Blinders Season 6 is getting bigger and better than its last seasons. Recently, the news came that Conrad Khan and Amber Anderson have joined the final season. Even The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy as Gina Gray will return for the final run. Later it revealed that Brian Gleeson as Jimmy McCavern is set to recur. Sam Claflin as Oswald Mosley and Neil Maskell as Winston Churchill will also return.
