Some Teen Mom stars chose not to stay in the limelight for long and went their own way. They went on to pursue different careers and lead lives away from prying public eyes. One such former Teen Mom star is Hope Harbert. The fandom might remember her from the casting of Season 4 of 16 & Pregnant. She became pregnant at 17.
The fandom also had empathy for her because of the nonchalant and abusive treatment of her baby daddy. At first, he did not want anything to do with her. Then he gradually came around. But the reality TV star faced many challenges due to the relationship’s on-and-off nature. However, she had to face numerous difficulties from the producers as well. Now, she is exposing them in the second season of Hollywood Demons.
Hollywood Demons Season 2 promised to dive deep into the ugly, sinister side of the popular franchise, Teen Mom. Some former cast members of the hit series are thus coming forward with their own stories that paint a haunting picture. In a recent sneak peek, it was all about former reality TV star Danielle Cunningham.
She came clean about how her participation on Teen Mom had paved the way for her horrifying drug overdose. Following her casting, she received a barrage of criticism and public hatred for her appearance on the show. The showmakers never helped her with counseling. Unfortunately, she got into drugs and eventually started doing heroin. One such harrowing day led to her overdose when she was pregnant with her second child.
Just like many other former Teen Mom stars, Hope Harbert has appeared in the new Season 2 of the docu-series Hollywood Demons. There, she has spoken about the various transgressions by MTV that deeply wounded her mentally. Apparently, the producers had pressurized her into doing certain things on TV that she was not comfortable with.

However, they marked it as a help and cautionary tale to prevent further teen pregnancies. She additionally accused MTV of selling her story for profit. She wasn’t comfortable with showing certain parts of her life on TV. But the producers manipulated her into believing that it would help the teenagers choose birth control more. Hope doesn’t think that her story even helped anyone.
Apparently, they would take certain embarrassing things Hope did not like and turn them into a storyline. For example, initially, they made it about her weight. The animators would animate her ankles with droopy, fat folds. She had protested, but they kept filming her weight gain. Certain scenes focusing on her weight gain certainly stripped her of her self- esteem.
Harbert even recalled feeling anxious, uncomfortable, and scared all the time while filming. They even made her wear swimsuits to work the weight-gain angle. On the other hand, Dr. Drew has defended the producer’s decision to go on with the weight gain. In his opinion, they were just showing the reality of a pregnancy, where weight gain is normal.
