The fandom of both The Bachelorette and The Mormon Wives were very excited for Taylor Frankie Paul’s Season 22. However, ABC’s abrupt decision yesterday shattered that anticipation. It all happened due to Taylor Frankie Paul’s past and an ongoing investigation. ABC swiftly pulled the fully filmed Season 22 yesterday after a 2023 video surfaced.
A major media house released a disturbing video from 2023. The video showed Taylor trying to aggressively assault her ex, Dakota Mortensen, while a little child was nearby. Sources confirmed that there was an ongoing investigation for a DV case involving Taylor and Mortensen. Both her & Dakota’s reps have released their official statements. Now, if the court finds Paul guilty, her sentence might be 5 years in prison!

The Bachelorette star, Taylor Frankie Paul, has released her official statement through her rep following the cancelation of Season 22 of the hit series. According to her, since way before the 2023 incident, she has suffered with physical and emotional turmoil, all thanks to Mortensen. She was “silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation.”
However, due to “fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming,” she chose to keep her suffering under wraps. Now that Mortensen tried to tarnish her reputation, she won’t be holding back from revealing the whole truth to protect her children. Moreover, her rep accused Mortensen of failing to prioritize their son’s welfare while deflecting attention from his own transgressions through this destructive campaign against Taylor.
The Bachelorette fandom is in a mess after the cancelation of the hit series’ Season 22 due to Taylor’s past. A video from her past has come back to haunt her with alarming consequences. The disturbing video showed an aggressive Taylor hurling metal chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, while in the presence of a child. Authorities did take her into custody back then.

However, both sides discussed the matter and dropped the charges. Now that the incident has resurfaced, Taylor could actually face serious legal consequences. A Utah legal expert talked about those serious repurcussions. Practicing attorney Nathan Evershed studied the incident and situation. He remarked that if the prosecutors decided to press charges, Taylor could face much legal trouble.
In an exclusive interview with The U. S. Sun, he revealed that if the court found Taylor guilty of a similar situation, such as the 2023 DV case, she could face prison time. Taylor and Dakota’s 2023 DV case is already under review by the Draper City prosecutor. The investigation is additionally ongoing. She is already on probation till August 2026.
“It’s a third-degree felony here in Utah, and she could be facing up to five years in prison should that happen,” the legal practitioner entailed. He further explained that if she didn’t adhere to the terms of her plea deal, the court could actually convict her as a felon, and she could face serious jail time. However, he also noted that this case wouldn’t affect the custody arrangement directly. For all the latest The Bachelorette updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
