To begin with, The Young And The Restless viewers know that Nikki and Diane do not share a good past. When Diane faked her death years ago, Nikki Newman was blamed for the death.
Even though it has been a lot of years since that happened, Nikki obviously despises Diane for it. Now that Diane has returned, she is trying to make everyone believe that she’s a changed person. But Nikki thinks otherwise. She believes that people like Diane can never change.
Moreover, when Diane came to GC, she went and apologized to Nikki herself. However, Nikki didn’t take that seriously and just felt pity for Kyle Abbott. It is likely that Nikki might never forgive Diane because she had lived a life thinking she killed Diane when she was alive for all those years.

The speculation has it that Nikki might not want Diane around anymore and might plan to kill her. We know that a murder mystery is looming in Genoa City, which could start with Diane getting killed.
