Summer And Kyle Are Drifting Apart
A few fights, arguments, and disagreements are pretty normal for any married couple. However, things start to get worrisome when those are the only exchanges the couple starts sharing. And that’s exactly what’s happening with Summer and Kyle these days on The Young and The Restless. Initially, the two were able to tackle the rivalry between their moms, Diane and Phyllis. They faced their momzillas like a team. But as time passed, things started to change.
Summer Newman Abbott has never been able to accept that Diane can be a healthy addition to their family. As far as Summer is concerned, Diane is nothing but trouble on The Young and The Restless. However, she still kept quiet for Kyle’s sake as long as she could. But once Jeremy Stark came into the picture, she lost her cool. Meanwhile, Kyle isn’t a fan of Summer’s mom either. He feels Phyllis is a bigger troublemaker than Diane. This difference in opinion has now started to poke a rather sizable hole in Summer and Kyle’s love boat.
Phyllis’ Death Explodes Summer And Kyle’s Marriage On The Young And The Restless
Even if Summer is not a fan of Diane on The Young and The Restless, Jack and Kyle certainly are. When Jack decided to marry Diane, Kyle happily gave them his blessings. However, Summer feels that this marriage will only spell disaster for the Abbott family. Summer and Kyle just can’t stop arguing over whose mother is more to be blamed for all the issues that are going on in their household. Now, with the latest showdown that has happened at the Bicentennial Gala, the crack between Summer and Kyle will surely widen.
Jack, Summer, and Kyle walked into the suite to see Diane choking Phyllis on The Young and The Restless. While they were able to pull the warring women apart, Jack and Kyle stood by Diane and believed that Phyllis must’ve instigated Diane to lash out. Later, when Jack announced his engagement with Diane, Phyllis suffered a meltdown and collapsed.
Moreover, the ambulance that was taking Phyllis to the hospital crashed, and Phyllis allegedly passed away in the accident. In the coming episodes, Summer will surely blame Daine for everything that happened to Phyllis. But Kyle will defend his mother. This argument might turn so ugly that it could put a dent in their marriage.
Summer might demand justice for her mother against Diane. However, Kyle would be willing to do just about anything to keep his mother safe.
