The Young and The Restless recap reveals that Thursday’s episode of the CBS soap was full of heartbreaks and emotional moments. This episode was about saving some relationships, and some characters were devastated about losing their loved ones.
First, Ashland stepped up to save Victoria’s life and told her that he loved her. Then, Sharon and Chelsea talked about Rey and leaned on each other for comfort. Viewers also saw Sharon breaking down in Nick’s arms when he delivered the worst news possible. What was all that about? Keep reading to find out.
Ashland Saves Victoria
Starting off the episode, Victoria could not accept Rey’s death in the car crash. She also acted like it was somebody else and not Rey, or maybe Rey was just unconscious. But, Ashland told her that Rey was gone and assured Victoria that it was not her fault.
However, Victoria continued to blame herself and told Ashland that Rey was dead because of her. After a while, Victoria took the liberty to thank Ashland for saving her life and also mentioned the irony of how the real Ashland died in a burning car.
When Victoria didn’t understand why Ashland was helping her, he told her that he loved her. This helping nature of Ashland made Victoria wonder if Ashland wanted her to forgive him.
In the meantime, Victor and Nikki also arrived at the hospital and told Victoria that Rey was dead. Victor also got furious when he saw Ashland near his daughter and asked him what he was doing there. Newman patriarch had his doubts about Ashland being behind this accident, but Victoria stepped up to save him.
The Young And The Restless: Chelsea And Sharon’s Discussion
Furthermore, Y&R spoilers suggest that Chance met Connor Newman, discussed the hockey game, and spent some time with him. In the meantime, Chelsea talked to Sharon in the dining area, where Sharon mentioned to Chelsea how she wanted to spend some time with Rey tonight. But, Sharon also highlighted that she’s not accusing Chelsea of anything.
There is a chance that Chelsea realized that Sharon knows that she had a thing for Rey. Chelsea acknowledged that Rey is an incredible man, but he is married and belongs to Sharon. After a while, Chance received a phone call about the accident and took off in a rush without telling Sharon anything.
Sharon Breaks Down In Nick’s Arms
Towards the end of the episode, Sharon apologized to Chelsea for lashing out at her. Chelsea was glad that the two ladies cleared the air and went home with Connor. Then, Sharon decided to close the coffeehouse and left Rey another voicemail in the hope that he will call her back. However, Nick arrived at the coffee place to give Sharon the worst news possible.
Sharon was rambling about Rey’s favorite treats and sensed that something was wrong. Nick then told Sharon that Rey was involved in the car accident and EMTs could not save him.
Sharon told Nick that she needed a minute to process all this and broke down in Nick’s arms. Sharon was devastated and heartbroken; it was obviously the worst news that a wife could ever receive.
