The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, August 31, 2022, reveals the story of the Newmans and Chance. First, Abby talked to Nick about Chance. The conflict of interest with the Newmans was bothering him. Nick assured Abby that he would talk to Chance and make sure he did not feel pressured. Later, Chance told Chelsea that he was really stuck with all the cases on Rey.
Meanwhile, Adam was welcomed to the Abbott company. Jack declared him the CO-CEO. Billy was furious when he heard the news and confronted Adam. Jack told him his decision was final. Adam countered Billy and asked him to stick to his lane. How will things pan out? Keep reading to know.
Nick Assures Abby
In this episode of The Young and the Restless, we saw Abby have a word with Nick about Chance’s troubles. Abby assured Nick that Chance values family; however, this was a clear case of conflict of interest. She was worried about what would happen if Chance reopened the investigation of Ashland Locke’s death. Nick decided he would talk to him and not pressure him. He did not want this case to interfere in his sister’s marriage.
The Young And The Restless: Chance & Chelsea Spend Time Together
Speaking of Chance, he learned that things don’t always go as planned. He did not want to spend any more time being angry or upset. However, he realized doing that was easier said than done. Later, he grabbed drinks with Chelsea. The two of them chirped about finding their happiness in their children. She suggested paying for the next round of drinks, Chance declared he had to step out for a secret meeting.
Furthermore, Chelsea tried to ask him who he was meeting. She wanted to know if it was an informant. Chance confessed he was trying to close Rey Rosales’ case. Chelsea was so happy that she was moved to tears. The two of them confessed they missed Rey.
Chelsea left for the hotel room and cried herself to bed. Later, Chance decided to track Sharon at Crimson Lights and inform her about Rey’s cases. Sharon was happy to have worked with a good man like Chance. After her declaration, Chance felt guilty.
Jack Appoints Adam As Co-CEO
Later in this episode of The Young and the Restless, we saw Jack welcome Adam as the co-CEO. However, Adam was worried about Abbott family’s reaction to his new job. Jack reassured Adam that he would take care of it. Billy arrived and heard about Jack’s decision to hire Adam. He was furious and asked Jack if he would reconsider. Jack told him it was unofficial and a permanent decision.
After Jack left to attend a call, Billy warned Adam that he would be keeping a close eye on him. His family company and legacy were at stake. Adam insisted that if Abbotts could survive Billy, it could survive anything. Later, Adam and Jack informed Nick and Abby about the co-CEO news. This sure is going to be explosive.
