The Young And The Restless: While being in the public eye is all glamourous and fun, things don’t always end like that. There are times when stars have to not only face the harsh response from the audience but also tackle some very difficult situations. The Young And The Restless actress Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) recently opened up about one such event. She also showed everyone how she dealt with it.
Talking to Soap Opera Digest for their podcast- “Dishing with Digest”, the actress recalled her time in Days of Our Lives and how fans got really made about her stint. Soap fans would recall Davidson used to play the character of Kristen on Days of Our Lives. Her character had come between the celebrated couple John Black and Marlena Evans. Behind the screen, all of them felt that it was fun. But fans did not think like that.
In fact, the actress revealed that some hardcore Marlena/John fans were a whole different kind of animal people. She spoke about how she had started getting death threats. Davidson remembered that at a fan event, the security had to take one woman away. She said that the woman had threatened to put a knife in her, and she was sending regular threats to her.
Davidson showed those letters to the fans, and they were able to identify the sender. They found her and took her out in the middle of a fan event. She kept screaming that she was harmless, but they could not be sure. Given how serious things could have become, the actress decided to take steps.
Continuing on, Eileen says that she hopes that people who are listening to her understand that if they aren’t getting responses to the letters they have written to Davidson. It’s because she has been asked not to respond. These threats aren’t something that she can joke around with.
While we are very happy seeing Davidson playing all these characters on the soaps, it is scary to know that she might be getting all these threats. Eileen Davidson is a phenomenal actress, and it is fun to watch her. But fans must remember that she is a different person than the characters she plays on the soaps.
Right now, Eileen is playing the character of Ashley Abbott on The Young And The Restless. She is not usually seen on-screen, but there is speculation that she will return soon.
