Hurricane Diane Hits Summer And Kyle
When Diane first returned to Genoa City on The Young and The Restless, she was met by a rather cold welcome. Everyone was living under the assumption that Diane was dead. However, it turned out that Dane had faked her death and hadn’t died at Nikki Newman’s hands. Upon her return, Phyllis, Ashley, and Nikki quickly huddled up to cook the perfect plan to send Diane running out of GC. But Kyle and Jack stood in the way. Summer was not thrilled at all by the idea of playing home with her freshly resurrected mom-in-law. But she kept her silence in favor of her husband.
Despite everything that Diane had done, Kyle still wanted her as his mother on The Young and The Restless. Jack and Kyle both agreed that Diane’s return and attempts at fixing things had healed Kyle’s old emotional wounds. Summer didn’t particularly understand that, but she understood that Kyle loved his mother. Thus, she decided not to let her personal disdain stand in the way of Kyle and his mother. However, it was only a matter of time before their disagreements over Diane started to rock their love boat. Especially so, when Jeremy turned up at the Abbott door.
Summer And Kyle Head Toward A Break Up On The Young And The Restless
As far as Diane was playing nice and wasn’t really planning to harm the Abbott Family, Summer was okay with her hanging around on The Young and The Restless. But all hell broke loose when Diane’s dangerous past came to Genoa City in form of Jeremy Stark. That was the first crack in Summer’s patience. She couldn’t handle the fact that because of Diane, her entire family was in danger. For the first time, she let her real feelings be known to Kyle. Unfortunately, it’s far from the last time. In fact, it’s probably the beginning of the end.
Recently, Summer found out that Kyle was working with her grandpa, Victor Newman, to bring down her uncle Adam at Jabott. Summer confronted Kyle on the matter on The Young and The Restless. She couldn’t fathom that Kyle has been going behind her back and indulging in such fishy tactics. It really irked Summer that he was scheming and plotting to get what he wants. Perhaps for the first time, Summer realized that Diane’s evil tendencies could be reflecting in Kyle’s dubious decisions.
The couple is constantly at loggerheads on the soap. The once madly deeply completely in love couple is only ever seen arguing and complaining. Will they be able to survive this rough patch?
