The Young And The Restless: Victor Newman’s Favorite Child Revealed!

Victor Newman undoubtedly is the most fierce character when it comes to The Young and The Restless. After all, there is a reason why he is popularly known as The Mustache! Apart from his savage business skills, Victor is known to constantly meddle in his children’s lives. And that often leads to massive wars in the Newman Household. However, that does not mean Victor doesn’t love his children. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Victor functions from a place of over-protectiveness. He truly believes that he knows his children better than they know themselves, thus, he knows what’s best for them. But that often ends up rubbing them the wrong way.

Over the past couple of decades, we have seen Victor butt heads with his children, Nick and Adam, in a particular way too many times. Victoria, too, has been on the receiving end of her father’s fury every once in a while. But she is often Team Victor, than not! Unlike her brothers, of course! On the other hand, Abby sort of tends to get lost in the family dynamics. We don’t see her getting in Victor’s cross-hair as often as her other siblings. Does that mean Abby is Victor’s favourite child? Maybe, Maybe not. But she is definitely his least problematic offspring! But then, who really is his fav? Does he even have one?

Y&R/Victor (Eric Braeden)

Actress Melissa Ordway (Abby) seems to be wondering too! The Young and The Restless star recently took it upon herself to find out the answer! She posted a tell-all video on her Instagram account that featured many of her Y&R co-stars. They all take turns choosing who they feel could be Victor’s fav child! The video starts with Melissa and Mark Grossman (Adam) discussing the matter. They both cheekily admit that they know it’s neither one of them, and it is definitely, Victoria! So that’s two votes to Victoria right there, with zilch for her siblings.

The Young and The Restless star Susan Walters (Diane) pointed out that it is definitely not Adam, and it just has to be Victoria! Melissa groans at not getting any votes yet! However, Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) and Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) feel it’s Abby! But why are we catching the feeling that they just said it to make Melissa happy? Anyhoo, that’s two votes for Abby! Well, make that three, because, Michael Mealor (Kyle) also feels it’s Abby. Although, Allison Lanier (Summer) feels it’s her on-screen dad, Nick!

Y&R/ Victoria is leading the poll as Victor’s favorite child

A few more The Young and The Restless stars cast in their votes, and most of them fall in Victoria’s kitty! Melissa takes a break and catches up with Mark and he sulks for not bagging even a single vote so far! But he insists he has become used to getting the short end of the stick! Next, actor Joshua Morrow laughs and says it’s definitely not Nick or Abby. He admits that Victor is obsessed with Victoria. So she just has to be his favorite. That takes Victoria’s total up to a whopping NINE! Abby follows behind with Five, Nick with Two, and Adam with ZERO! (ouch)

Oh wait! Adam finally got his first vote! And guess who it came from? Well, his The Young and The Restless flame, Sally Spectra! But hey, we aren’t really surprised with that one! Then Melissa just puts it out there and declares that Victoria wins this hands down, because, Victor literally has Victoria’s portrait in his office! You can’t beat that, can you? But then Eric Braeden comes on screen and literally takes the cake with his answer!

When Melissa asked Eric who Victor’s fav child is on The Young and The Restless, The Mustache gave a really tongue-in-cheek answer! He said, his favorite child is yet to be born! And that literally left the entire cast, crew and fandom of the soap in splits in the comments section! As for the winner of the poll, Victoria swept it away with most votes, and Abby closed in at the second spot! Do you think the cast was bang-on with the votes? Who do you think is Victor’s fav? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, stay tuned to TV Season and Spoilers for more such fun updates.
