In the month of March 2025, Tom Sandoval and Lisa Vanderump’s restaurant TomTom had to spend $50,000. It was on construction due to new city zoning laws. The place’s front patio was made much smaller. Hence, it now only fits a few small tables. Many Vanderpump Rules fans thought the bar was closing or changing. However, it was just following city rules. Their area had to deal with some zoning laws.
Then, a staff member shared that losing the open patio space was a big deal. That’s because fewer customers and less money came in because of the decreased space. Still, the person said all local spots had to do the same, so there was no way to stop it. Hence, there was no “fighting the decision.” After all, it was a city order. It happened after the reboot announcement and the old castmates’ exit from the show.
Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Vanderpump Snubs TomTom With This Move!
As the whole world celebrated Pride Month on June 1, there were celebrations in West Hollywood, too. That’s when the Rainbow flags completely blocked the TomTom bar sign. However, the Pump restaurant sign next door stayed fully visible. Even though both places featured Pride decorations, only Pump’s name caught the eye of people walking by.
A passerby revealed that Lisa Vanderpump has been only focusing her attention on Pump and not on TomTom. This happened after TomTom became the only bar left for Tom Sandoval. His other bar, Schwartz and Sandy’s, shut down in December 2024. It turns out Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, own TomTom, while Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval play the role of junior partners.
On Vanderpump Rules, both the Toms often argued with Lisa over how to run the bar. Lisa had once said in a confessional that she didn’t think they would ever consult “a 2.5% partner.” Later, in July 2023, Lisa moved Pump into the TomTom space without telling the Toms. She later explained she wanted to keep longtime staff and the chef.
