Executive producer Miranda de Pencier recently reveals that the new season is going to have an Indigenous storyline. Along with showrunner Moira Walley-Beckett, she promises that the new season will be their most intense one yet. Anne With An E Season 3 will explore new issues this time. This includes themes of identity, feminism, bullying, gender equality and prejudice.
The series will use contemporary themes to explore emotions. The story will be told via a 16-year-old girl and her adventures in the mean world. This time the storyline and cast members will be indigenous.
Anne With An E Season 3: Cast Additions
The producers of the show recently conducted an open-call search across Canada. This was to find a perfect actor for a specific new Season 3 character. Many candidates auditioned for the role, in person or via tape. The number reached two hundred and thirty entries.
As per reports, the producers were in search of an actor to portray Ka’kwet, an independent and resilient Mi’kmaq girl. Ka’kwet befriends Anne Shirley (Amybeth McNulty) in the plot of Season 3. After a detailed search, a perfect Ka’kwet was found.
Kiawenti:io Tarbell, is a 12-year-old Mohawk actor from Akwesasne. Moreover, the Indigenous little girl is now in the cast of Anne With An E Season 3.
Many more new actors will join the cast of Season 3. This includes Brandon Oakes of Arctic Air. Dana Jeffrey, known for Heartland, will also join the show. The upcoming installment is going to be new and exciting.
Anne With An E Season 3: Release Date
The previous season of the show premiered back in July 2018. Season 3 got a renewal within months by August of last year. The series is already under production and may take a while to process before the release.
CBC is yet to declare a firm air date. However, as per the release pattern, Anne With An E Season 3 may also premiere by July 2019.
The contemporary drama show is popular for its display of strong feelings through mild storylines. Anne With An E is a women-run show and is an inspiration for many female film-makers.
