The President will be back again, and this time, his reign will be much more thrilling and troublesome. Moreover, all fans must get ready for much political drama in the upcoming installment.
Designated Survivor received immense love and respect from fans around the globe. The Netflix Original brings us a fictional world that looks shiny and lustrous from the outside. However, hides a million deep and dark secrets inside. Unfortunately, after running for two amazing seasons, the original broadcaster, ABC canceled the popular show.
Later that year, Netflix got the golden opportunity to pick up the conspiracy thriller for many more successful seasons. Moreover, just a few months after its cancellation, Designated Survivor was renewed for a third installment in September 2018. The productions began soon and concluded early in February 2019.
Initially Commander-in-Chief, Tom Kirkman becomes the designated survivor. In an explosion that kills the President and all everyone in the line of succession, Tom survives. Hence, he becomes the newly selected President of the United States. His journey is wild and full of conspiracies and political drama. The show receives much love and respect from the audience due to its well-constructed plotline.
What Is Going To Happen Next?
All the episodes of the previous seasons are available for fans to binge-watch before the arrival of Season 3. Netflix has also released a recap of both the installments. Unlike the previous two seasons that had 21-22 episodes each, the new installment is going to have only 10 episodes. Moreover, the upcoming season will now be in the hands of the new and talented showrunner, Neal Baer.
Season 3 will focus on President Kirkman’s inevitable attempt at the presidential campaign. Designated Survivor Season 3 will dive deep into the political reality campaigning. Kirkman will have to do everything that it takes to make a leader. However, the price for the same will not be easy to pay.
While Democracy will hang in the balance, Kirkman will have to prove himself in campaigning this time. Season 3 will dive deep into the modern world of smear tactics, campaign finance, debates, and fake news. The first two seasons were not very easy for the President. Audiences are shown the truth and reality behind the power.
Becoming a president is never a child’s play. Kirkman had to pay hefty prices in exchange for his reign. He lost his wife, and his son leaves Washington D.C, to study in the West Coast. The President is now left all alone and isolated in the White House, with just his 12-year daughter around.

The political drama casts a brilliant set of performers that have successfully brought their characters to life.
