The History channel is pretty proud to have a show like Vikings. It is surely one of the most appreciated historical dramas ever. Sadly, it’s time for the end. Yes, the popular series is about to wrap up its story with Vikings Season 6. The renewal was announced back in September 2017.

In January 2019, the showrunners announced that Vikings Season 6 would be the last set of 20-episodes of the show. The cast and crew had been filming the series for a while. Moreover, they recently wrapped up the productions and went in for the promotions. Cast members shared a few pictures from the last set of the historical drama on social media.

Fans were pretty worried about the way Bjorn and Lagertha would turn out to be after the big revelation. Rollo disclosed that he is actually Bjorn’s birth father and not his uncle. The warrior has been supporting his mother since he was a little child. However, he’s always known Ragnar Lothbrok to be his father. Hence, viewers assumed that the character might not handle the discovery pretty well.

On the contrary, Rollo’s plan failed to work out as the secret didn’t affect Bjorn as much. The two of them share a pure bond, and anything wouldn’t be able to harm the relationship. Despite him not being his actual father, Bjorn considered Ragnar to be his true father. Ragnar had raised him and largely affects his life. Moreover, his love and respect for his mother aren’t easy to wreck.

Ivar The Boneless is the youngest son of the late Ragnar Lothbrok and Asluag. Based on a real Viking chief of Danish origin, he later went on to become the king of Dublin. As per the sagas, he actually lived on till he was 80 years old. Moreover, as per the plotline of Vikings Season 6, he would still be young. Hence, the chances of him dying next season are pretty meager until the showrunners change the story.

When Will It Be On History Channel?

The last three parts of the series appear to follow a certain release pattern. As of now, we haven’t heard of any official dates or detail. Hence, we can currently hope for the series to return around November 2019. However, since it’s the final installment, Vikings Season 6 may take a bit longer to premiere.
