General Hospital viewers who have been keeping an eye on the latest updates know that All My Children fame Cameron Mathison is coming to Port Charles. However, what we do not know is what character he would play. But now, we have some hints on what he might be upto. As per the latest General Hospital spoilers, when Cameron Mathison comes to Port Charles, he might play the role of Ric Lansing. Ric is a long-lost character who is Sonny’s half-brother.
The character was earlier on played by actor Rick Hearst. Ric is also Molly Lansing’s father. He first came to Port Charles in 2002 and stayed there until 2009. After that, he moved to Los Angeles. Then, Ric made another appearance in 2014. However, General Hospital completely dropped him in 2016. In fact, lately, General Hospital has been trying to act like Sonny has only one sibling- Courtney Matthews. That is really weird as Molly is still on the show. So, now, General Hospital might be making up for all of it by bringing in Cameron Mathison to fill those shoes.
General Hospital: What Would Be The Storyline?
The last time General Hospital viewers got to see Ric, he was trying very hard to stop Elizabeth Webber from getting involved with Franco Baldwin. Ric wanted to be with her instead. However, that plan failed miserably because Liz and Franco got married later on. Also, things have changed between then and now. And the biggest change is, Franco is dead. Therefore, Ric might see this as an opportunity to win Liz’s heart and hence come back to the town. However, things might not be that easy.

So, to twist everything, Ric hired Hayden Barnes to pretend that she was Jake’s wife. He hoped that this would get him Liz back. Although his plan went downhill when Carly exposed the whole scheme during the nurse’s ball. And everyone, including Liz, came to know about Ric’s scheming. It also led to the breakup between him and Elizabeth.
Will He Avenge Carly?
It is also possible that Ric might be coming back to avenge his revenge on Carly. After all, she was the person who ruined all his chances with the woman he liked so much. Right now, Sonny is out of the canvas, and Jason is away too. So, Carly is basically on her own. Is there any small chance that Ric might be eyeing her business? Because long-time viewers are aware that there is absolutely no brotherly love between Ric and Sonny. So, Ric might think that this is just the right time to hit the surface when it still seems week.
