Kendra’s Motel Trip With Matt Triggers Bille Joe To Educate Her About Accountability On Suddenly Amish

The recent series of events led Kendra re-evaluate her dedication to the Amish. The Suddenly Amish cast member left the community to go to a motel with Matt. Kendra and Matt liked each other, but Emma interrupted their date. So, the couple went to a motel to spend some time together, away from the Amish’s watchful eyes. This led Bille Joe to feel that Kendra’s entitlement was rude. So, when Kendra returned, Bille Joe gave her a piece of her mind.

Bille Joe and Kendra spoke in the confessional. Bille Joe also called Kendra’s leaving “super f****d up.” She explained that, from Bille Joe’s and everyone else’s perspective, Kendra appears not to want to live the Amish life. She also explained how Kendra did not care about the repurcussions and broke the Amish rule for a boy. Kendra then broke down and said that all the pressure she feels from the Amish rules makes her feel she is not “cut out” for this life. This ultimately triggered Kendra to think about leaving.

Kendra Calls It Quits, Departs From The Community On Suddenly Amish

The latest episode ended with Kendra leaving the Lancaster Amish community. The Suddenly Amish star was struggling with the hardcore Amish lifestyle. She felt like everyone held her up to impossible Amish standards. But it was too much for her. At the end, she finally decided to leave the Amish life behind, failing to fall in line with the community’s guidelines.

In a recent clip, in preparation for her departure, she was in tears but thanked her co-stars for helping her. She apologized that she couldn’t make it through. Then she walked away, leaving everyone behind. Kendra’s departure has left a mark, as James and Emma have contemplated it. James stated that all the potential and effort were wasted, as she could be a good Amish wife. He also thought it would have been nice to have her around and that there was “natural chemistry” between him and Kendra.

Kendra’s departure also made Emma think the Amish failed her. In a confessional, she talked about Kendra and Matt. Emma said, “If Matt and Kendra were given an honest chance, […] if we had treated them right, they would have stayed. The biggest reason why they left is the way we didn’t do our part.” Additionally, she commented that if they hadn’t done anything wrong, there was no reason for them to leave.
