Suddenly Amish star Kendra is not adapting well in the community. The former Los Angeles dancer initially missed her mom immensely. She broke down in tears in infront of James and pleaded to be allowed to call her mom for a minute. Kendra spoke to her mom every day, and the transition to Amish life proved hard for her.

James allowed her access to a cell phone, and Kendra called her mom. She also got emotional but thanked James later by hugging him. Kendra faced a drastic lifestyle change in the Amish community, away from the glamor and glitz of a fast-paced LA life. However, fans can tell that Kendra is not trying her best and is allowing herself to submerge in the Amish life. She tries to escape the first chance she gets, not caring for the rules of the Amish. That’s what happens when she leaves to go stay at a motel with Matt.

In a recent clip of Suddenly Amish, Kendra shares what she is thinking about the Amish life. Bille Joe confronts Kendra and speaks to her in private about her leaving to stay at a motel with Matt. Bille Joe doesn’t sugarcoat when she says she does not approve of Kendra’s behavior. Kendra’s sudden plan to leave upset Bille Joe.

Bille Joe also calls Kendra, leaving “super f****d up.” She explains that, from Bille Joe’s and everyone else’s perspective, Kendra appears not to want to live the Amish life. Kendra also explains her side and why she left with Matt. She states that they were on a date, but that got interrupted. Fans know Emma was a wet blanket on their date. Kendra also shares that she and Matt wanted to get to know each other better and talk more, so they went to the motel.

Bille Joe retorts that Kendra promised to help Bille Joe with the Amish life, but left to do a “non-Amish, dirty” thing. Kendra states that her departure had nothing to do with Bille Joe and that everyone expecting her to be a perfect Amish person is putting a lot of pressure on her. She breaks down crying and states that she wasn’t raised Amish, so all the rules are too much.
