When Vanessa Cobbs left the Snowdens a week after marrying them, fans were pretty suspicious. Vanessa Cobbs appeared on a previous season of Seeking Sister Wife, as Dimitri and Ashley Snowden were trying to court her to join their dynamic. Fans seemed to like her a lot but were suspicious about the couple’s treatment towards her. Yet, the three of them went ahead and got “spiritually” married at a huge event on the show. Only when fans started believing their storyline, Vanessa announced that she is no longer involved with the couple and they are having a divorce.
This announcement was an utter shock to the entire TLC fanbase. Most of them were confused as to what happened between them that Cobbs left the marriage within a week of tying knots. In fact, a lot of fans persuaded Vanessa to speak the truth and were ready to support her. However, possibly due to her contract, she kept her silence and only gave vague reasons. Fortunately, she has finally spoken up for herself. This happened after a new Sister Wife that the Snowdens were courting, accused them of domestic abuse.

Soon after Christeline Peterson filed a case against Dimitri and Ashley, Vanessa stepped up to support her. Even though she didn’t take any names, fans didn’t take long to put the pieces together. Cobbs called Dimitri a Narcissist, Enabler, and a Predator as well.
On the other hand, she wrote in the captions, “Enough. Stop Lying to the world and yourselves.” Everyone assumed that the TLC alum is addressing her ex-husband here and is calling him a liar. Moreover, Cobbs also asks Dimitri to get professional help and that there is no shame in therapy. This was when fans understood that there’s a lot more to Vanessa’s story than she has revealed.
Seeking Sister Wife: Like Christeline, Was Vanessa Abused Too?
When Christeline Peterson’s story of domestic abuse surfaced, other alleged victims of the Snowdens started speaking up. The other woman that the Seeking Sister Wife stars were courting, Tayler Monique, also supported Chrissy when she spoke up. On the other hand, an actress named Ariadne Joseph also shared her story on blogger John Yates YouTube Channel. She alleged that she was sexually abused by Dimitri when she was dating him. Aside from all these empowered women, Vanessa Cobbs also stood up against the TLC couple. Hence, even though Peterson’s case was dismissed, fans were on her side.
This is when fans started talking about how Vanessa could also have been in an abusive relationship with Dimitri and Ashley. However, she didn’t get the chance to speak up like Christeline. Even now, Cobbs can’t directly make any accusations due to her contract. However, she’s trying to do as much as she can.
