TLC: JANELLE AND ROBYN BROWN

One of TLC’s most popular shows, Sister Wives, has taken a much-expected turn as the Brown family finally shatters into pieces. Things are falling apart as one of Kody Brown’s brides, Christine, finally took a step away from him. As she’s now moving to Utah, Kody’s delusional world is cracking up. Well, many would agree that all of this was foreseeable years ago. As Robyn Brown entered the family, other members became a little less important to the polygamist. Now, it’s not just Christine but also Janelle that’s thinking of leaving Kody. However, she’s not yet ready to take the step as a lot of things have kept her tied to the plural marriage situation. Here’s more for you to know about the same.

Sister Wives: Janelle Is Tied To Kody & Robyn Due To A Financial Mishap!

Without a doubt, the latest episode of TLC’s most famous ‘polygamy’ show was a hit. It had plenty of drama to offer to the viewers, which got the Browns some mixed reactions. Kody’s “knives in the kidneys” meltdown didn’t sit right with the fans. He asserted that Christine has always treated her family members like ‘dirt,’ especially his favorite wife and her kids. Meanwhile, Christine has tried to be as practical as possible while making decisions related to her departure. There was also this brawl related to her selling her $700K house and paying up Kody and the family. Her ex-husband highlighted that Robyn, somehow, had paid for Christine’s house, so she has to pay back. Christine found a better deal in the end and sorted out the matter. However, details of another controversial transaction have come up now.

Janelle talked about how she has no assets as an independent woman. The latest episode of Sister Wives Season 17 featured the family visiting Coyote Pass again. Since the second wife is living in an RV (as per the timeline of the season), she is desperate to build on Coyote Pass before Winter arrives. However, doing that seems highly unlikely at the moment. This is because electricity cannot be installed on the property, which is basically an empty lot. At this point, Janelle feels helpless as the CP house will be the only asset she can leave for her children. The mother-of-six explains that even though she owns a couple of properties, there’s somebody else’s name on it too. Hence, she says that she is in a “stupid position” when it comes to her finances.

On top of everything, Janelle explained that even if she wants to leave Kody and the plural family, she cannot. She doesn’t have any assets in her name, so she’s trying hard to build something for herself. All this while Kody lives in a mansion with his favorite wife. While having this conversation, the Sister Wives star ended up revealing some shocking information. Janelle talked about how she paid for Robyn’s $900K house in Flagstaff. She said, “I gave half the proceeds from my house in Vegas to Robyn,” this was to help her purchase her house. If that’s true, Janelle lent around $300K, which is half of the selling price of her Las Vegas house.

Sister Wives: Janelle Explains How The Browns Manage Their Finances!

As anyone would imagine, it is very hard to manage finances in a plural marriage situation. In polygyny, the husband has to handle two or more wives, who may or may not be earning themselves. So, while Janelle, Meri and Christine were working, Robyn was a housewife. In the recent episode, Kody’s second wife explained that five of them have a joint account, which is called their “family account”. In it, everyone pitches in the amount they can, which is then used for their common expenses. So, when any of the wives need the money they can request to use the family account. Apart from that, they also have a separate account as well. So, when Christine needed downpayment for her Flagstaff house, the family account helped her out.

TLC: JANELLE &ROBYN BROWN

This was the reason Kody said that Robyn paid for Christine’s house too. Similarly, when Robyn bought her $900K mansion in Flagstaff, everybody pooled some money into the family account and helped her pay for it. However, Janelle has now revealed that she also gave Robyn money from her own account. As of today, Robyn is still in debt. Since Janelle is yet to get that money back, many fans think that she is choosing not to divorce Kody before she gets it back. What do you think about this? Tell us in the comments below.
