Suddenly Amish: Bille Joe Stands Up For What She Believes In

TLC’s Suddenly Amish introduced six individuals in the Lancaster Amish community. While most of the cast joined for their own reasons, Bille Joe was different. She knew what it took to be Amish, and she gave them all up. Not just that, she also followed the rules and inspired others to do the same. Additionally, she wasn’t afraid to call out the other cast members, as she did with Kendra, when they were breaking the rules.

Billie Joe became a fan favorite pretty soon. Recently, she brought up the topic of LGBTQ issues with James and Allen, and she didn’t beat around the bush. She stated clearly that many of her friends are not straight, so she isn’t fully onboard with the Amish discriminating against them. Fans loved her even more when she stated that she wanted to discuss LGBTQ issues with the community because of Judah, who is bisexual. Judah himself was proud of Bille Joe because she did what he was afraid to do.

Suddenly Amish: Is Billie Joe Considering Leaving The Amish?

In the recent episode titled “A Day of Reckoning,” the cast of Suddenly Amish faces the congregation to make a decision. James and Allen bring out the chests storing the items brought in by the cast. They open the boxes to remind the cast of the life they left behind. As Allen opens Bille Joe’s chest, she is tempted to look inside. She wants to take a quick peek to see the life she has not lived. BJ walks up to the open chest, and James reminds her of the temptation.

Bille Joe takes a look inside. There lies, on top of her clothes, a pink sex toy. Fans know that BJ really wanted to keep it when she was entering the community, but the Amish did not allow it. The camera focuses on it heavily as BJ looks at it. She says, “The phones are in there, and the things we used every day.” The reality star calls the chest Pandora’s Box. In the confessional, she is tongue-tied and says nothing; she just shrugs.

While BJ looks at her chest with all her things inside, Judah is concerned. He is worried that BJ is hesitant about it. He is worried the items in the chest will be too much for BJ, and she is considering leaving the Amish life behind. Will she decide to leave the Amish life?
