Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon share a five-year-old son, James. The former couple has been fighting a custody battle for their son for nearly four years. The Teen Mom star earlier faced the accusation of drug addiction and domestic violence. None of these accusations were justified, but the legal case decision was made in Andrew’s favor. Despite having custody of their son James, Andrew is now making all the necessary arrangements to disunite their child with Amber completely. Here is more about it!
Teen Mom: Bitter Custody Battle Continues!
The custody battle for Amber and Andrew’s son James has not yet come to an end. The Teen Mom star welcomed her youngest child, James, with ex-Andrew in 2018. Back then, the couple lived a happy life until 2019, when Andrew accused Amber of domestic violence and filed a legal custody case. The feud started when James was merely one year old and has continued for the last 4 years. However, Andrew was granted full custody in 2022. So, he planned to move to Santa Barbara, California, to live in a massive mansion owned by his grandmother, Charmaine. Considering Amber’s drug addiction and domestic violence, the court granted Andrew full custody and permission to move to the new state.
After the relocation, Amber tried staying connected to their son, James. The Teen Mom star continued meeting him 5 days a month and made frequent FaceTime calls when they were apart. But Andrew did not find peace with this, so he is now working hard to make things even more difficult for her. At the end of last month, Andrew filed an emergency custody order in an attempt to restrain Amber’s visits once and for all. During the recent court hearing, the Indiana-based judge urged both parties to send their respective proposed orders to the court latest by September 5. Then, the court will come to a decision merely 90 days after the submission of a written proposal.
Teen Mom: Amber Did Not Reveal Much About Son In The Show
During the reunion of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, hosts Dr. Drew and Nessa asked Amber questions related to James. Although she looked irritable and disinterested, she continued to bite her tongue. Later, the host asked the celeb if she was okay. To this, she responded that she felt depressed after losing her second child’s custody. In another episode of this Teen Mom franchise, Portwood was seen having a conversation with ex-Gary Shirley. Wherein she revealed that she felt at her lowest, despite working hard and taking laps for her son James.
Irrespective of all the efforts put in by MTV starlet Amber Portwood to be around her son, she wasn’t able to secure a place for herself. Hence, the mom of two is fighting another battle to retain at least five days’ worth of co-parenting time. What are your opinions about Andrews’s emergency custody order?
