Andrei Castravet debuted on 90 Day Fiance with his budding romance with Elizabeth, a.k .a. Libby Potthast. Now, they are the most popular cast members of the show, for they have starred in multiple spin-offs after their debut. Their beef with the rest of Libby’s family has kept their storyline entertaining and interesting.
Andrei was in trouble in the last season of Happily Ever After as his green card expired after two years of validity. He then had to deal with the immigration department multiple times as he suspected Libby’s family was trying to get him deported. Now, there has been a significant development in his immigration case. What is it?
90 Day Fiance: Andrei Finally Gets His Green Card Approval!
As mentioned above, Andrei and Libby’s troubles with the immigration department were a huge part of the previous Happily Ever After season. When the season wrapped up, things were left on an ambiguous note as 90 Day Fiance viewers didn’t know about the former’s green card status. Well, in the new season of 90 Day Diaries, fans finally got those answers.
Libby and Andrei told everyone how they had a whole lot of things to celebrate. One of them was the latter finally getting his green card. Earlier, it had expired after 2 years, and he had to get a permanent one. So, he was in talks with an immigration lawyer to appear for an interview with the USCIS, i.e., U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The attorney had told Andrei and the fans that 95% of cases like Andrei don’t need to give an interview. They usually get a green card in the mail, and that’s that. Because he had to appear in front of the USCIS, he had suspicions about Elizabeth’s family trying to get him deported. But it turns out his interview was not due to his marriage with Libby but his past in Moldova.
Andrei then revealed that back when he was in Moldova, he was part of an “interior investigation.” Someone had “questioned his work” when he was working as a cop. So, he had to testify for that very reason. Hence, he had to go through some trouble to acquire his green card finally. But all of that is in the past now, and he and Libby are living a hassle-free life in Tampa, Florida.
90 Day Fiance: Andrei & Libby’s Next Adventure! Moving Away From Her Family
It is no secret that Andrei and Libby’s family don’t get along. While they have tried to for many seasons, things went nowhere and became chaotic as ever. In fact, their physical altercations have also made it to many 90 Day Fiance spin-offs. So, in the new 90 Day Diaries episode, the couple announced their plans to move away from Tampa.
Libby and Andrei toured a house in Naples and wanted to move there. It is merely 2 hours away from Tampa. The latter had a business opportunity in the new city and wanted to move. He also had his fears about how Chuck would react to this news. The news shocked the side cast member at first but he eventually got happy as Andrei wanted to provide for the family.
Chuck also got a bit sentimental, saying he would miss his grandkids. But Andrei assured him it would only take him two hours on the highway to visit the family, and it wouldn’t be that big of a change. Keep track of all the latest 90 Day Fiance updates by checking TV Season & Spoilers.
