In all six seasons, they have all gone through many ups and downs. Well, the new season was quite crucial for Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon. That’s because she revealed a very important thing about her identity and came out as a bisexual woman. Well, Jessica finally talked about her experience of coming out on national TV in a recent interview.
Mama June: Jessica Is Out & Proud! Embraces Her Sexual Identity
Mama June’s new season has truly been a roller coaster ride. It had a lot of major highlights. This included Alana living with Lauryn instead of June after their custody battle, the latter’s marriage, and introduction to her new husband, Justin Stroud. Anna’s cancer diagnosis and Jessica’s coming out storyline were also quite important moments. So, Chubbs got together with her sisters and mother for an ET interview. That’s when she opened up about her experience of coming out in front of the whole world through TV as a bisexual woman.
Jessica mentioned that almost everyone has been “real cool” with her coming out, so she liked it. However, there have been some people who have been hateful about the whole thing, but she has been avoiding the trolls. Jessica’s sisters Lauryn and Alana also said that she was waiting for the right person before she could come out. Hence, when Chubbs found love in her girlfriend, Shyann, it wa the right time for her to come out and reveal her sexual identity unapologetically through Mama June: Family Crisis.
Mama June: Jessica & Her Girlfriend Shyann Ready To Tie The Knot?
Jessica overly gushed over her girlfriend, Shyann, in a recent interview. Surprisingly the latter knew about the former’s show when the entire family starred in TLC to showcase Honey Boo Boo’s pageant journey. However, Shyann only remembered Alana and Pumpkin from the show. Hence, it was a “full circle” moment for Jessica when she found love in her. There was a moment in the season finale when Mama June teased her daughter. She wanted to know if there would be another wedding in the family, implying that she and Shyann were ready to tie the knot.
While Chubbs mentioned that Shyann is all in this relationship, she wants to take it slow. The WEtv star noted that it is too soon for them to tie the knot. However, she was open to the idea of something like this happening in the future. Well, June, Alana, and Pumpkin were all smiles when Jessica revealed this.
